Marino\WARE announces NYC Buildings MEA Acceptance for the ViperStud Drywall Framing System South Plainfield, NJ -- April 16, 2008 --Marino\WARE announces today it's new drywall-framing product ViperStud has been accepted by the New York City Department of Buildings and they have issued a report of Materials and Equipment Acceptance (MEA), MEA # 56-08-M. The NYC Department of Buildings accepts ViperStud wall assembly designs as meeting the required fire resistance ratings and certifies ViperStud is rated for 1 and 2-hour fire walls per ASTM E-119. The ViperStud Drywall Framing System is listed with the nationally recognized Intertek/Warnock-Hersey mark. Intertek/Warnock Hersey is accepted worldwide as a leading provider of safety and testing solutions under OSHA's Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Program. This product installs the same as conventional products, so the trades can enjoy the benefits without a learning curve. ViperStud is becoming the preferred drywall framing stud for contractors. The ViperStud System is composed of non-load bearing wall studs available in three design thicknesses, 0.0155", 0.0200" and 0.0245", and a single track, also called ViperTrack with a design thickness of 0.0155 that is compatible with all three studs. ViperStud products are also compatible with conventional steel drywall framing products and are 100% flat steel.
