Marino\WARE's ViperStud receives ICC ES Evaluation Report
ICC-ES ESR # 2620 Verifies the ViperStud Drywall Framing System; Viper25, Viper20S (Select), Viper20D (Deluxe) meet the IBC 2006 Code.
Viper25, Viper20S (Select) & Viper20D (Deluxe), manufactured by Marino\WARE®, received an evaluation report (ESR#2620) from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), providing evidence that the ViperStud Drywall Framing System meets code requirements. Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others utilize the ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for using or approving metal framing in construction projects following the International Building Code.
ICC-ES President Mark Johnson explains why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important. "Marino\WARE® can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that the product meets I-Code requirements," Johnson said. "Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resourcefor the building department. Final approval of building products is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency."
ICC-ES thoroughly examined Marino\WARE's product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code compliant. Marino\WARE® President and CEO Chip Gardner says "We are very proud to secure this evaluation report for the ViperStud family of products, especially since Marino\WARE was the first manufacturer to achieve this verification from ICC-ES under the latest and more stringent guidelines of the residential and commercial international building codes represented in IBC-2006. This proves our position that we have extensively tested ViperStud to meet the rigors of today's newest construction standards.'"
ICC-ES is the United States' leading source of technical information on building products and building technology for code compliance. A nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, ICC-ES performs technical evaluations of building products, components, methods and materials. The evaluation process culminates with the issuance of reports on compliance with the major U.S. building codes, which are available at www.icc-es.org.
