Environmental Product Declarations
Marino\WARE now offers a choice of Product Specific Type III EPDs. One EPD applies to all our cold-formed steel framing products, regardless of the steel production method – Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) or Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). The second EPD specifically details the environmental advantages of our products made with EAF steel, allowing you to make informed decisions based on embodied carbon.
Optimization Assessment
Based on this comparability assessment, the products in question are deemed comparable for the purposes of LEED credit achievement. It is WAP Sustainability’s professional opinion that Low Embodied Carbon Cold-Formed Steel Framing Systems from Marino\WARE meet the following LEED Materials and Resource Credit, Environmental Product Declaration, Option 2 criteria: GWP Reduction 10+% (valued at 1.5 products for LEED v4.1).
